    The key point is that you should be clear why you want to lose weight, it must be for yourself as you will find it very difficult if you are only trying to please others. The other key point is to design your program around your life and what you like doing.

    “There is such an overload of information on fitness, that it can leave one overwhelmed. Do not get addicted to reading up excessively. All the articles I read contradicted each other and that left me confused and even a bit demotivated”

    New research has shown that low fat diets do not lead to long term weight loss. In fact the amount of fat in the diet is not significant in terms of weight loss outcomes.

    This shows once again that fad diets don’t work. Anyone who wants to lose weight should be looking at eating healthily and eating a balanced diet rather than cutting out any particular food type.

    It is not surprising that people are confused as to the best way to lose weight. Given all the diet plans, weight loss pills/supplements plus all the conflicting information about dieting and nutrition it is very difficult to know if you are doing the right thing. This is probably why many people give up after a few days.

    However, losing weight doesn’t have to be this way. The key is not to let all the information out there make it more complicated than it really is.
