Well, you do not have to go far if you want to see rampant erroneous information about health. Every day someone is promising some new miracle cure for people who want to lose weight or improve their physical fitness. Some of these miracle cures are touted by highly reputable sources, only to be debunked a month or two later. This makes it really hard to figure out what is real and what is fake which is why we decided to write this article. Here are three health and fitness myths and the real truth you should know.

If you have been eating one single apple each and every day, well, it’s hard to say if that really helps eliminate the need for a doctor. By now you may be familiar with blueberries because they do possess certain antioxidant properties known to be beneficial. This is not an attempt to say one is far superior than the next, even though this healthy berry is a powerhouse of all the good stuff you want. Now, if you want to create something with more of a punch, then of course yogurt is an excellent choice.

Perhaps the most pervasive myth about getting fit out there is that you need to really concentrate and focus on the areas you most want to improve. It is just that people are operating with incorrect information when it concerns weight loss. Everybody has six pack abs because we all have the same muscles, and it is simply being rid of fat so the underlying comes through. So you’re basically just puffing up the fat and you won’t look any better; so to really tone an area of your body you have to work your entire body or nothing will ever improve.

Well, when it comes to discussion about saturated fats, this is one topic that everybody thinks they know the deal about. For a really long time, the pervading message has been that all saturated fats are terrible for you and should be avoided at all costs. These are the fats that certainly have a place in your body, and they should not be left out entirely. All things being equal, you can remain healthy if other things are in place and your genetics are reasonably accommodating. You will find the best results come from eating a sensible diet that has all kinds of the right stuff in it.

There are so many innovative findings that emerge every year about your health. Some things, though, are just false. There is so much information available that you will never be able to consume all of it. The quest for truth is a natural desire and has been for millenia.
